Liechtenstein Full Report with Commercial Register documents

The Commercial Register of the Principality of Liechtenstein (Handelsregister, formerly the Öffentlichkeitsregister, kept by the Office of Justice in Vaduz) holds, for every registered entity, the documents filed since its establishment: the deed and articles, the appointments and resignations of board members and representatives, resolutions of the founder or the shareholders, declarations required by law, liquidation and deletion papers. This report obtains the complete register file of the company you choose, reads it, and binds it in the Dato Capital report layout: the principal data, the register history in date order, the officers, representatives and holders of the founder's rights over time, and every document as filed, in its original language. Delivered as a PDF by email and to your customer area in up to 2 business days.

What it confirms

The report confirms the registered data of a Liechtenstein company as they appear in the documents of its Commercial Register file: name and legal form (AG, GmbH, Anstalt, Stiftung, Treuunternehmen, Trust reg.), register number, seat and address, date and deed of establishment, capital, purpose, status; and it records who has been on the board, who has acted as legal representative and who has held the founder's rights, with the dates of each appointment and resignation, each statement backed by the filed document bound in the report.

How we obtain and deliver it

After you pay by card through Stripe, we order the complete register file of the company from the Commercial Register of Liechtenstein and pay the register's fees for the copies. Our team reads the documents, prepares the principal data, the history and the officers' chapters, and binds the documents in date order in the Dato Capital layout. The PDF is sent to your email and is available for download in the customer area, with delivery in up to 2 business days. A very large file, or a company deleted long ago whose papers are in the archive, can take longer; we tell you when that is the case.

Who asks for it

Banks, trustees and compliance officers use the file to see the full chain of appointments and representatives behind a Liechtenstein Anstalt, Stiftung or AG. Lawyers use it in litigation, succession and asset-tracing work, where the deed, the articles and the resolutions matter more than the current extract. Buyers and investors use it before a transaction with a Liechtenstein counterparty. Researchers and heirs use it to reconstruct the history of an entity that has since been deleted.

Validity, apostille and related documents

The file reflects the register on the day the copies are issued, which is printed on the documents. New filings are added to the file over time, so a buyer who needs the current position as well should order the extract or a new file after an event. The report carries a Dato Capital verification code; the documents are the register's copies, not certified copies: a certified or apostilled copy of a document is a separate service.

What the Liechtenstein Full Report is

Liechtenstein entities are registered at the Commercial Register of the Principality (Handelsregister, called the Öffentlichkeitsregister until 2016), kept by the Office of Justice (Amt für Justiz) in Vaduz. The register extract shows the current position; the register file holds the history: every document filed since the establishment, by the founders, the board, the legal representative and the authorities. This report obtains the complete file and presents it in the Dato Capital report layout, so that a reader who does not know Liechtenstein law or German can follow the company's history and still has every original document at hand.

What the report contains

Four chapters: the principal data of the company, read from the documents; the register history, with every event in date order and the document that records it; the officers, legal representatives and holders of the founder's rights over time; and the register documents themselves, each bound under a title and a date in our description, in the original language, usually German. Typical documents are the deed of establishment and the articles, applications to the register, resolutions of the founder or the shareholders, specimen signature declarations, resignations and acceptances, the yearly declarations under Art. 182b PGR that no commercial trade is conducted, and the liquidation and deletion papers of a dissolved entity.

Legal forms and what the register shows

The file of an AG or GmbH shows its share capital and, through the applications, its board and signatories; the shareholders of an AG are not public. An Anstalt (establishment) and a Stiftung (foundation) have no shareholders: the founder's rights pass by assignment and the beneficiaries are named outside the register, so the file shows the board or foundation council, the representative and the holder of the founder's rights, not the beneficial owners. Deposited foundations (hinterlegte Stiftungen) are not registered and have no public file.

What the report does not contain

Annual accounts are not filed at the Commercial Register for most Liechtenstein entities and are not part of the file. Beneficial owners are kept in a separate, non-public register. Dates of birth and private addresses of individuals that appear in the documents are delivered as filed to the buyer of the report; the sample on this page has them blacked out.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Liechtenstein Full Report?

The complete file of a company at the Commercial Register of Liechtenstein, presented in the Dato Capital layout: principal data, register history in date order, board members, representatives and holders of the founder's rights over time, and a copy of every document filed since the establishment, in its original language.

Which entities does it cover?

Every entity registered at the Commercial Register of the Principality of Liechtenstein: AG, GmbH, Anstalt, Stiftung (registered foundations), Treuunternehmen, Trust reg. and others, including entities already in liquidation or deleted whose file is kept in the archive. Deposited foundations are not registered and have no public file.

Does it show the owners or beneficiaries?

It shows what the register holds. The shareholders of an AG and the beneficiaries of an Anstalt or a Stiftung are not in the register; the file shows the board or foundation council, the legal representative and the holder of the founder's rights, with the documents of each appointment and resignation. Beneficial owners are in a separate, non-public register.

In which language are the documents?

As filed: almost always German, sometimes French or English. Our chapters (principal data, history, officers) are in English, and each document is bound under an English title and its date, so the reader can find their way through the file.

How long does it take and what can delay it?

Up to 2 business days for a normal file. A very large file or the archived papers of an entity deleted long ago can take longer; we tell you when that is the case.
